This is terrific for those of us who live vicariously through the lives of others.
Libby, I hope you are collecting your memoirs and putting them into a book. If P. Mayles can do it (I loved his books), then so can you and the husband. Record your neighbour's reactions to you, yours to them, the beauty, the problems, the accomplishments, the feeling of transcendance, and write about it!
